Sex Addicts Anonymous Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are free to attend for anyone suffering from an alcohol addiction. This is a 12-step program meeting which lends support to people grappling to come to terms with their addiction, and for those pursuing recovery.

AA meetings are generally an hour long but can be longer or shorter, you can check these times on the individual meeting listing. Meetings are open to men and women of any and all ages, races and religions.

Some meetings are considered ‘closed’, which means that you have to be an alcoholic (or suspect yourself to be an alcoholic) to join. An ‘open’ meeting is open to friends and family and anyone else grappling with an addiction.

All AA meetings follow a similar format in order to offer consistency and safety.

What happens at SAA meetings?

People share their daily experience living with an alcohol addiction, in order to communicating what they are feeling and in so doing, overcome the fear and shame associated with being an addict. Sharing indirectly offers hope and support to those new to the program, allowing them to see the hope and possibility of recovery.
